Processors of Computer:
A processor is also called CPU, it has another name too as brain of computer. Processor performs the basic instructions of computer. In large companies like mainframe computers and super computers use high quality processor. Processor is basically a chip which you install into your motherboard according to the size and type of your motherboard.
Cores In Processors:
Now cores in processor increase the performance of your computer, there are single core processor, multi core processor.
Single core processor vs multi core processor:
Like a said cores increases the actual performance of your computer, now cores are like your hands if you have more hands you can do more work at a same time as compare to other who has less hands or two hands. Such is case with cores in processors the more cores you have in your processor the more fast and quick response you get from your computer.
Functionality of Processor:
Processor has two main parts CU and ALU, CU is control unit whereas ALU is arithmetic logic unit. If the end user give computer a command to perform some mathematics calculations then processor ask ALU to perform such task and show the result whereas CU is for non calculations tasks.
Control Unit of Processor:
CU is the component of computer processor that directs and coordinates most of the operations in the computer. such as graphics, audio, documentation and other non calculation tasks.
Arithmetic Logic Unit of Processor:
ALU is another component of processor that performs arithmetic comparisons like additions, subtractions, multiplications and division. Comparison in ALU is on basis of greater than or equal to, less than or equal to depending on the result of comparison different actions may occur.
Machine Cycle of processor:
Each and every instruction Processor repeats four basic operations in machine cycle such as

Storing
Fetching:
It is the process of getting a program or an app instructions or data items from memory.
Decoding:
Decoding is the process of translating the instructions into signals that computer can understand and execute.
Executing:
It is the process of getting out the commands.
Storing:
In machine cycle the storing means keeping data in RAM not in Storage Devices like HDD or SSD.
Registers in processor:
The processor has built in small high speed locations known as registers which stores data and instructions temporarily.
System Clock of Processor:
Processor contains small quartz crystal printed circuit known as system clock to control the timing of all computer operations both CU and ALU. You can take the an example of system clock of your heart beats. How many times your heart beats in seconds that tell you about heart beating cycle. Same thing is of system clock of processor, like how many time your processor system clock ticks in seconds determine the speed of processor in Mega Hertz MHz and Giga Hertz GHz. 1 Giga hertz is equal to one billion ticks of the system clock per second.
Processor Cooling Methods:
Computer, laptop, desktop and servers generate heat which can harm the whole system. So it is necessary to keep your system cool by maintaining fan, heat sink installation, cooling and other methods of getting your system cool.
